When I hand over a business card, I am typically asked two distinct questions: I love the name of your company and what is a Bratface? Bratface Marketing is not only the name of our fabulous company, it also holds special meaning to our very own Andrea Baxter.

 

Born in St. Johns, Newfoundland, Andrea became accustomed to being called “Bratface” by her father. After moving from Toronto to St. Johns way back when, her father quickly adopted the nickname “bratface” after hearing a few of their newfy friends call their children by this nickname. He adopted the name for Andrea when he heard the definition of what a bratface really was:

 

‘A term of endearment for someone who drives you crazy ever so often, but you love them so much you let them get away with anything.’

 

Because Andrea was known to have her father wrapped around her finger, Bratface fit the bill and she has been called one ever since. To that conclusion, it was only fitting that we named our company after a name that was not only witty and clever, but had some meaning & sentimental value behind it. After all, part of marketing is having a story to tell.
